It's strange to be back in St. Louis again. It's only been about five weeks since we were here last, but much has changed. The trees are almost completely in leaf, making everything lush and green looking. It's much warmer as well - and humid. The weather should be warm and sunny through the week, with possible storms on the weekend. Gena and I laughed together on the drive today about how often we've found ourselves back in St. Louis again after swearing never to return when we left in 2007 from seminary. There's a comfort in being in a familiar place again after so many days on the road and in different places around the country. It's nice to have a touch of familiarity before the next stage of our journey.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010 - Dayton, Ohio - St. Louis, Missouri
Another travel day. Just about six hours of driving, but after two other days of six plus hours of driving each day, six hours seems like a lot. Fortunately, the kids were great. We arrived in St. Louis around 3:30pm. We had a breakfast dinner of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. A fantastic cap to our long return journey from the Eastern US.
