Tuesday, April 6 2010 - Hanover, MD

Tuesday was a day to regroup, recoup, and prepare for the rest of our time in this little place between Baltimore and Washington DC. It was good in that respect. We sampled the very nice free breakfast provided by the hotel. Then it was back to the room for school work for the kids. Part of that included postcard writing. Then there was lunch (made in the room in our kitchen - woohoo!). Then off to run some errands, including mailing the postcards and locating the train station near the airport - just 2-3 miles up the road from us - and figuring out what was involved in getting to DC & back again by train.

Dinner was a cooked turkey breast and 'cheesy noodles' (our family version of fettucini alfredo, for those of you who haven't heard about this dish that has captivated our children). It felt good to continue the weekend's blessing of real food - even if the turkey breast was really dried out. At the least it was a fraction of what it would have cost to eat out, and we got to use our kitchen again. Woohoo!
